Prodigy Math Games: Trailer for the Latest Update

After the success of last year's expansion trailer, Prodigy Education Games returned to us for their latest challenge. Building on the strong performance of their previous expansion, they needed a hype trailer for their newest educational game update.

In the previous story arc, players confronted and defeated the Puppet Master. But he's not gone so easily! The Puppet Master returns, kidnapping heroes to Dragon Island, where they must face new challenges. As a studio, we had our own challenges to overcome as well.
Our Challenges

One of the biggest hurdles was maintaining the dark, villainous atmosphere of the Puppet Master without making it too frightening for the core audience—school-aged children. We had to carefully balance the tone to keep it exciting yet appropriate.
We explored multiple versions of the final scene, ranging from more intense to the final, more kid-friendly version.
Another challenge was character performance. The Puppet Master, who narrates the trailer in real time, has no facial features—no mouth, nose, or eyebrows. To compensate, we focused on body language and camera dynamics to make the performance feel lively and engaging.

Our team prepared over a dozen new game characters adaptations to populate the vibrant Dragon Island, home to many dragons. Given the tight 3-month production timeline, this required careful planning and efficient execution.
Fandom Reaction

Nothing beats the excitement of seeing a fandom come alive! The Prodigy Math Game community loved the new trailer, responding with enthusiasm and passion. It’s always rewarding to create something that resonates deeply with fans, especially when it becomes such an important part of their world.
Our Favorite Moments

For us, the thrill came from crafting the epic shots—the sweeping views of Dragon Island, the powerful imagery of dragons in flight, and the intense action sequences.
We also enjoyed adding a touch of humor. In the cave scene, we included a lighthearted gag to break the tension, offering a fun moment amidst the adventure.
By blending epic storytelling, engaging visuals, and just the right amount of humor, we aimed to create a trailer that would excite both Prodigy’s audience and our team. This project challenged us creatively and technically, and we're thrilled with the final result!
